The Association of Foreign Affairs in Malmö (UF), is a non-political association with the aim to provide debates, seminars and other events related to international politics and global awareness.

UF is a part of UFS (Utrikespolitiska förbundet Sverige), which is the main organization of all “Association of Foreign Affairs” in Sweden. However the Association of Foreign Affairs in Malmö also works under the local Studentunion (Studentkåren).

Activities

Every semester UF arranges several seminars and events within the field of international politics. The association invites all kind of speakers from politicians, graduates and diplomats to journalists and activists.

How to become a member

As a member of UF Malmö, you will be able to participate in the international discussion and share your political interests with others. You may also support the association in its planning and developement.

Members will also have the privilege to enter seminars and other activities arranged by UF Malmö and any of the local UF associations, example the Association of Foreign Affairs in Lund for free.

The membership costs 50 kr/year and could be purchased at any of our activities or directly from our office.

Language

Since parts of the board does not speak much Swedish and since the Association mainly focus on international issues for an international audience, we have together decided to have English as the official language in the board and in most of our activities.

We do of course accept email-communication in Swedish, if you feel more safe with that. However, we prefer to keep as much as possible of our communication in English. If you have any complains or questions concerning this, please let us know. You find our email-address at the bottom of this page.

The board of the Association of Foreign Affairs, consists of six members:
